Ethical Decision-Making
Students will learn how to model a decision-making process to help guide them to better ethical decisions. Many areas of life contain questions concerning right and wrong, and not everyone has the same ethical beliefs. Therefore ethical decision-making is not an easy topic to discuss and understand. Not everyone makes the same kind of decisions. People base ethical decisions on their personal values and principles, and these come from individual life experiences. Since everyone has different experiences, then principles, values and decisions will vary too. One ethical decision can have several principles behind it. Understanding ethical principles and learning to apply them to different situations and issues, is at the heart of what ethics is about.
