Don Williams

Don Williams, the founder of the Williams Architects, was a man with a grand vision for what this county could truly be. There are few Pinellas County residents who are not touched by his lifetime of work. He was a Clearwater City Commissioner and vice mayor. He served on the Clearwater Planning and Zoning Board, the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority and the Pinellas Historical Commission.

The House of Seven Gables in Heritage Park is there for all of us to treasure because of Don’s hard work with his partner, Dixie Walker, along with the land on which sits Moccasin Lake Park. Don Williams’ enduring love of this community and the arts is evident to all who attend performances at the world-renowned Ruth Eckerd Hall, which he co-founded.
